As part of its multi-tiered marketing agreement with Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, VSPC will have a major presence at next weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto in Canada.
The outreach, which includes track signage, promotional opportunities and a trackside booth presence, allows VSPC to establish a high-profile foothold in one of the area’s largest international markets.
CVB staff members from Leisure Sales, Meetings and Conventions and Public Relations, will be on hand to liaise with Canada-based meeting planners, travel media, and tour operators, including representatives from Sunwing, iTravel 2000, CAA and other major players in Canadian tourism.
“This is an amazing opportunity for us to get face time with key players in this highly competitive market,” said VSPC senior leisure sales manager, Rob Price. “And the fact that a Grand Prix event is something we share in common with Toronto makes it extra special, and not just another industry gathering. We always sell out.”
The greater Toronto area is St. Pete/Clearwater’s long-standing top Canadian feeder market. The Grand Prix event will be followed by a joint Leisure Sales and PR mission in August, which will include call center training in Montreal, and a Beaches & Baseball event in Toronto.
